Important HUD Training - FREE!

April is Fair Housing Month, and as affordable housing developers and real estate professionals, we need to be current with fair housing law to guide our strategic development, equitable marketing and advertising. The Federal Fair Housing Act protects people from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or securing financing for any housing. The prohibitions specifically cover discrimination because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability and the presence of children.

Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) staff will provide a general overview and explain all the protected classes and categories covered by law, as well as prohibited acts, enforcement & legal relief.

Presented by: Raymond Daniel O’Brien III, Esq. and staff from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (OFHEO)
