Many affordable housing development projects are overseen and monitored by a governmental agency, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), and the marketing and rent-up must be done in accordance with their policies. The Director of Marketing and Oversight Program at HPD will explain the latest procedures, policy, best practices, compliance & fair housing issues, for both affordable rental and home ownership housing projects. Common pitfalls and costly mistakes in marketing and rent-up, and ways to do comprehensive outreach will be explained.
