Industrial Jobs Coalition (IJC) joint statement on the need to preserve the Industrial Business Services Provider program

The Industrial Business Services Provider (IBSP) program has a proven track record of serving industrial businesses throughout the city. Our Coalition strongly believes transitioning towards the Business Solutions model cannot meet the specialized needs of industrial businesses and represents a severe cut in essential infrastructure to this sector. For just $1.2 million, IBSP supports 500,000 jobs and $1.7 billion in tax revenue. The City should not replace but expand this proven model by fully funding IBSP, extending contracts for two years, and strengthening it with stakeholders.
