ANHD congratulates Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani and looks forward to working together to address the critical affordability challenges facing our communities.

We are at a pivotal moment. New York City faces a severe affordability crisis that no Mayor can solve alone. Our affordable housing stock is at risk, families throughout the city are unable to afford rent and other necessities, and our communities are increasingly under attack from the federal government.

We invite Mayor-elect Mamdani to enter into a deep partnership with ANHD, our community-based member organizations, homeless New Yorkers, tenants, homeowners, small business owners, and all those whose on-the-ground perspectives can help to build a more equitable and affordable future for New Yorkers.
