Statement on the passing of Ballot Proposal 2

In a record-turnout election, New Yorkers voted to fast track affordable housing by approving Ballot Question 2. For years, ANHD has championed the creation of more affordable housing, the fast-tracking of 100% affordable housing proposals, and for all neighborhoods to do their share to help solve the affordability crisis. 

ANHD celebrates this momentous win – and we know there is much more to be done. We will continue the fight alongside our members and allies to preserve existing affordable housing, protect tenants rights, expand homeownership opportunities, and advance a model of real comprehensive planning in New York City.
