Melanie Breault (she/her) is ANHD's Communications Manager. She handles all internal and external communications needs for ANHD and offers support and guidance for its member groups and coalitions. Prior to joining ANHD, she was one of their Morgan Stanley Community Development Graduate Fellows working with the community development non-profit Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (NMIC) in Washington Heights on affordable housing development and community organizing. She received her Master of Science in Urban Policy and Leadership (MSUPL) from Hunter College's Urban Policy and Planning program where she served as the Editor-In-Chief of the department's magazine Urban Review, and she recevied her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College where she worked with the Park Center for Independent Media. During her time there, she interned with The Nation magazine and The Laura Flanders Show. Melanie spends her free time working on a podcast about creative women, writing about women’s health issues, and walking her German Shepherd mix Clarkson through the park in Brooklyn.
