Stephanie Barreto-Lastra is a native New Yorker with over a decade of experience in leadership development and capacity-building. She has worked across an intersection of issues impacting low-income New Yorkers including organizing with street vendors, building arts mentorship programs, and leading community engagement at the NYC Department of Education. As much as she loves NYC and its’ built environment, she equally loves to escape the city and spend time in cabins or camping in nature.
On her down time, you will most likely find her in a cuddle puddle with her fur-babies which include two cats, Luna and Phife Kat, and a dog, Yuca. Stephanie holds a BA in urban studies and sociology from Barnard College and a master's in policy management from Georgetown University.
