The deadline for this event has passed.
Join CUNY's Building Performance Lab staff for a series of the NYC Building Operator Training (BOT), a FREE energy efficiency training for multifamily operations & maintenance staff.
Since BOT began in 2016, more than 600 residential O&M staff have completed the 30-hour program and are already seeing energy- and money-savings results! This preview of BOT will outline recently enacted NYC local laws related to energy efficiency and carbon emissions reductions. The preview will also summarize how building systems’ energy efficiency can be addressed through O&M practices. A core element of the class will be introduced: energy-related O&M checklists for each building system. The NYC Building Operator Training program is part of New York City’s OneNYC commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 80 percent from 2005 levels by 2050 (80×50).
The training is a 30-hour training for supers, operators, and maintenance staff of ALL multifamily buildings. We can provide course curriculum materials in English and Spanish. The BOT curriculum is designed by operations & maintenance (O&M) training experts, covering:
