The Introduction to Project and Construction Management program is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of the components that go into successfully managing and executing a project before, during, and after affordable housing construction. Participants will learn components of construction management that take place during the construction phase of a real estate development project. Students will learn how to identify and implement best practices and strategies used in the industry.

I. Project Management Planning and Construction Scheduling Basics
II. Leadership and Management: Roles and Responsibilities of the Development Team
Session 2. Tuesday, 3/19 at 10am-11:30am
III. Cost management, Cost estimating, Value engineering, Contract administration, Contract management, Change order analysis
Session 3. Tuesday, 3/26 at 10am-11:30am
IV. Project Closeout: Timing and What is Required
V. Dispute avoidance, Litigation support, Claims
Cost of the workshops are $15 per session. Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions but are allowed to select one or two to attend.
