Verbal De-Escalation & Community Safety

Join us on April 5th, 2:30-5:30 PM, for this in-person workshop where Krystal Portalatin will support participants in exploring and practicing verbal de-escalation tools and techniques. Rooted in community safety strategies, the workshop will be dynamic and interactive. The framework presented builds on the legacies of community safety from NYC Queer and Trans-led organizations, and the work of the Black Panther Party, the Young Lords, The Audre Lorde Project, CAAAV: Organizing Asian Communities, Sista II Sista, and Justice Committee to name a few organizations.
